A tree fells and opens up an opportunity to pursue a dream to develop a working garden. In a space once occupied by an old Oak tree JALA designs a garden with the precedence to marry with the William Roy Wallace designed home. Brick, bluestone, gravel, granite cobblestone and concrete are arranged to compose this potager garden. The garden expanded into an outdoor kitchen, a modest garden terrace for alfresco dining. A garage court, garden paths, rear entry porch and steps along with improved drainage and circulation are arranged into a seamless composition blending into the landscape and within the context of the historic home.
